Malayarasi means Queen of the Hill in Tamil. The women of the Malayarasi Maker Group live in Masinagudi, a village located in the Nilgiris Hills in the state of Tamil Nadu. The Nilgiris is often given the name 'Blue Mountains' or 'The Queen of Hills' for its tranquil, majestic feel. 

Before Secret Projects connected with this group of women, they were already a Self Help Group, meeting in their village hall regularly to support one another. They have now been trained to make Secret Sari Necklaces. Using sari scraps and beads, they are able to use their creativity to create ornate pieces.
